Title: dual brake master cylinder
Post by: Phantom on August 03, 2005, 08:28:59 AM
Has any one installed a dual master brake cylinder set up in their FC? and if so what car was it sourced from and any difficulties or problems associated with this type of set up?
                                     Cheers Rusty

Hey Rusty, check out the Hoppers Stoppers website, they have a question and answer section on Old Holden brake upgrades, from memory they suggest the HQ dual circuit??

Any way here it is....

Definitly seek professional help, but in my situation I used a VL V8 booster, coupled to a modified mounting bracket from a VS.

I also had to weld a bracket onto the brake pedal, but the old girl stops on a 2c bit (hoppers disks in front), with little effort.  Sure beats the old way, where I have had both hands gripping the steering wheel and forcing the pedal down to pull the old girl up in a hurry :)
