Title: Trolly Jack - OT Post by: Burnsy on June 09, 2005, 08:52:22 AM Just a quick note to let everyone know that Supercheap has 2500kg trolly jacks on special for $99. I have been looking for one of these for a while and as far as value for money goes I think they are pretty good. Solid build (weigh over 40kg) handle activated and come with a manual showing parts break down, list of spare parts and maintenance requirements.
I know they are made with low labour costs in China but with the price of steel and diesel I have no idea how they can make these ship them half way around the world and still sell them at a profit. Better to make a couple of bucks on thousands than hundreds of bucks on very few! grasshopper! Title: Re: Trolly Jack - OT Post by: HARKO on June 09, 2005, 09:20:12 AM I can vouch for their quality ,I bought mine from them about 4 years ago and have had no issues apart from the teeth on the handle which turn the cog to lower the jack have worn down just enough so that when the jack handle is at its lowest point it prevents the cogs from meshing thus not allowing the jack to be closed at its lowest point.
And everything I own is low ??? lifting the car just that little bit whilst sliding the jack under is the norm. and when you have to close the hydraulics then lower the lever the jack raises just that half inch more - grrrr. But yeah Ive lifted things that I thought would bust it and it just hangs in there . good stuff. Title: Re: Trolly Jack - OT Post by: Martin on June 11, 2005, 07:34:07 AM You surprise me, Harko. May-be you need a sunken floor to place the jack in, then drive the car over it.hehe ;D Cheers Sarge Title: Re: Trolly Jack - OT Post by: JB on June 14, 2005, 04:37:02 AM Got one... Thanks boys ;D
