Title: Found One !!!!!
Post by: mcl1959 on April 26, 2002, 02:07:40 AM
I'm so excited !!!
I've been looking for an FE with a yellow and black interior for such a long time - I thought I would never find one.
In the parts book trim number 475 and 710 are described as Black and Toucan Yellow and were only available on FE special sedans.
I have been intrigued as to what colour car they came out on.
Well a contact in NSW has come up with an ID plate as follows;

FE 225 9587 S
5/475
256/7467

The car is a single colour Maize cream!

I was expecting maybe a 2 tone colour like black and yellow maybe - but there you go.

Unfortunately the car is wrecked and no chassis number is available, but based on the body number it is a 1956 car.  The 710 trim code was used on the 1958 model FE as the trim on this model was slightly different to the earlier model.
Does anybody know where another of these cars may be ?  I would REALLY love a photo of this interior for my collection.
