Title: insurance Post by: smithy on April 19, 2002, 12:27:42 AM can anyone reccomend a good insurance company that will even look at a modified FC sedan. what are Shannons premiums like? or is there anyone else.

They are happy to insure modifieds, which some other prestige and classic insurers won't. Typically the rates are about double for a modified, but this will depend on your age, driving history etc.
By way of example my modified FE sedan is insured with Shannons for about 6K and costs in the low $300 for comprehensive insurance. NRMA policies do not explicitly exclude modifieds, but they will generally want to inspect the car. Their vintage/veteran policy can be downloaded from their site.
