can anyone reccomend a good insurance company that will even look at a modified FC sedan. what are Shannons premiums like? or is there anyone else.
any help would be grand

Shannons have always been pretty good.  They are happy to insure modifieds, which some other prestige and classic insurers won't.  Typically the rates are about double for a modified, but this will depend on your age, driving history etc.

By way of example my modified FE sedan is insured with Shannons for about 6K and costs in the low $300 for comprehensive insurance.

NRMA policies do not explicitly exclude modifieds, but they will generally want to inspect the car.  Their vintage/veteran policy can be downloaded from their site.

thanks Ret, just got off the phone with shannons, pretty suprised with their prices. looks like the way to go. actually alot cheaper than i thought.  ;D

Its Ben I only pay $224 per year insured for $7000 for my sedan through Shannons
