Did I mention I'm going for an eye op sometime in June which will allow me to get my licence for the first time (at 34!) So 6 months on my L's then my P's... how many times am I gonna be picked up by the cops for not taking my son's L's off the car before driving? Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: SEB on May 07, 2005, 08:17:46 AM Nice colour. Any idea what it is? Goes well with the standard chrome on the sides.
Best regards, Steve. Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: SRVLIVES on May 07, 2005, 08:22:46 AM Um, it's green? Dunno if it's original or not. I'll post the numbers up when I get them.
Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: oldgmh on May 07, 2005, 09:10:45 AM Mate,
I just love an auto transmission so your car must be great. My days of manuals are well gone gone, unless of course I am racing around Willowbank which I do occasionally. Looks a great car - thanks for sharing (I feel touchy/feely when I say that) earlee Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: ACE on May 07, 2005, 10:20:49 AM Hi SRVLIVES,
I went and had a look at your new FC when it was for sale about 18 months ago on this forum and i'm pretty sure the colour is Dover Green ;) Regards ACE 8) Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: normd on May 07, 2005, 10:59:54 AM Hey SRVLIVES
Mate , you'll have it over the rest of us , We all had a huge smile/grin when we were able to drive our FE/FC's for the first time. But you'll have double that , "Your "first" drive in your "first" FC. Can anyone better that ? (Good things come to them who wait) Norm :) Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: SRVLIVES on May 07, 2005, 11:00:11 AM thanks Ace, what did you think when you looked at it? and why didn't you buy?
Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: Sarge on May 07, 2005, 07:07:28 PM Good luck with the op, If you need somebody to drive the around till then just send it up I will take good care of it. :) ;) :D ;D

Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: SRVLIVES on September 18, 2005, 04:28:14 AM Just went and fitted the spacers to my front end (thanks stinky :) ) and got the whitewalls fitted to the rear
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v383/SRVLIVES/My%20FC/IMGP0970.jpg) Disregard the flat front tyre, but I think it looks much better, the 14" wheels really fill out the guards. Will get some ww's for the front soon. Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: customFC on September 18, 2005, 09:59:18 AM Looking good.
Are you going to retain the black wheels? I see the panel shop is poking and proding the panels. Regards Alex Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: SRVLIVES on September 18, 2005, 11:03:18 AM hey Alex, few options for the wheels, black with chrome nuts and centre caps, HK caps, or some custom full wheel caps, not MOON's though! :P
Poking and prodding?.... that's about all they've done! :( What with this NRMA crap with repairers at the moment there should be plenty of time to get stuck into it.... seeing as they've told the NRMA to stick their new quoting scheme in their freckle....... work sure has dried up. Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: HARKO on September 18, 2005, 12:40:23 PM I see you have posted on here a day after your operation so I guess it was a success ,Congrats and great stuff.

Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on January 08, 2006, 10:23:36 AM That's the way SRV, I got a bit worried when you put it up for sale.
I would suggest removing the car from said "panel shop", I have been in the same situation and tolerated it for 2 years before pulling the car out. The best panel work I ever had done was by a guy working on Saturdays at peoples places, he did the work and we settled at the end of the day. When I had more money I would call him for another Saturday. Plus, with the car at home you can apply Harko's 20 minute rule. BTW, are you going to do the lime metalflake roof? Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: SRVLIVES on January 08, 2006, 10:37:06 AM Yeah, it was only financial that I put it up for sale, I told myself I was only listing it once, if it didn't sell, then I'd keep it.
I've only removed the panels from the driver's side, was really quite easy seeing as every third bolt was missing!!! Spoke to the shop owner (my stepfather ::) ) this afternoon about it and told him as the car is up against the paint wall I will wait 'til they've finished the driver's side before moving it... though if I get time before I have to go to back to work next Thursday I may go down, take off the rest, and bring the lot home and prep it here. As it looks like it'll all be going back to bare metal, I was toying with the idea of reversing the colours of that Chevy in my sig.... whatcha think? Title: Re: My 'new' FC! And every day spend 20 mins minimum in the shed . If you dont feel like doing anything - pick a small job. In the long run it can get you miles ahead without even noticing, and builds up the magical motivation factor Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Im going to have to apply that to myself, been a bit unmotivated lately. cheers Title: Re: My 'new' FC! Post by: SRVLIVES on February 20, 2006, 07:28:31 PM Brilliant idea Harko! Your wisdom exceeds your years... but, um... is it all right to take more than 20 minutes to do the list!!? ::)
