VERY cool. Love the Standards. You got the ID plate numbers? I would be keen to see how close they are to mine. Love that NOS too. The headlight rims are chrome? The numbers came up as FB EK/225 & 229. What is all the NOS trim? I assume by the looks, they may have been planning on making it a "Special". Good score, Rob J Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: sgo on April 13, 2005, 10:19:25 AM Of course you realize that on this forum you'll have to keep the car disguised ;D

Magic looking car. Would FB standards be as real as FE,FC's ? Hey Sgo could you please enlarge the FC on your logo. It looks like my 2door. Thanks Cheers Al Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: hrpanoben on April 13, 2005, 03:18:59 PM G'day COL58FE,
You've scored yourself a very nice car! I noticed in the photos there is a lock on the drivers side door. I was under the impression that "standard" 215 models did not have a drivers side door lock? I know this is the case on hd/hr standards, utes & panelvan models. What about fb/ek & fe/fc models? Cheers, Ben. Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: NascoHunter on April 13, 2005, 03:52:43 PM Your write Ben.
Should be no lock on the drivers door on FE-EK Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: Sarge on April 13, 2005, 06:23:58 PM Col
Very honest looking car, you have done well. A little TLC and it should come up a treat, oh and a bit of paint. ;D Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: HAD 708 on April 13, 2005, 07:09:50 PM Nice pick up a good find and so lovely and original good luck and congratulations it looks beautiful trim.

Looks like a great, unmolested car. Good on you for saving another one! :D Cheers, Graham Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: customFC on April 14, 2005, 08:03:43 AM Hey Col.
Sweet looking new addition. I bet that interior was the clincher. regards Alex Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: COL58FE on April 14, 2005, 08:19:26 AM ;)g'day people, thank's for the
comment's and interest.as for the door lock your right on it's not ment to be there, but was fitted by holden from new as the nasco map shelf and nasco mirror (not pictuerd).also has a bonnet cable lock thingy he reckon's it's a nasco option but look's like a cable off a hk-ht to me.this could be true but who know's it may have been fitted by him but i can live with the mistery. yeh the trim made it more tempting thank's again,col58fe. ;) p.s 4hammer's body number is FB215-4711-S,ENGINE IS B142100, CHASSIS IS FB48836S.cheer's.pic of your one would be great. Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: 4hammers on April 14, 2005, 09:17:10 AM Hi Col.
Thanks for that. Mine is actually FB215 - 108M. It is "Hi-Gloss" black, which is still Duco & is so early, it is actually an FC colour. A bit further into the run, they painted the FB colour, which is Carlsbad Black. If you want a look at mine, go to my "Homepage". It is a little house picture, just under my name on each of my posts (Click on it). Next to where the Instant message & email shortcut is. Click on "FB Copcar" & there she is! Regards, Rob J p.s. The bonnet lock was an Nasco accessory. I have the complete FB Nasco accessory list here. Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: earlyholdenfan on April 15, 2005, 03:40:56 AM And of course not to mention the accessory indicators!
Great car and magnificent find, congratulations Matt Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: HYSTERIA on April 15, 2005, 03:52:09 AM Hi Col, Your new beast looks very similar to mine, I have an EK-215 that I am currently rebuilding the mechanicals on, I am the third owner and it has only done 58,000 miles since new. Mine also has the chrome headlight rims which I believe are factory on the standard sedan unlike the ute and van. Is the color of yours 245 (strata blue)?
Send me a PM with your e-mail address and we can exchange photos. Good to see another standard saved from the scrap heap. Cheers Jason Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: 4hammers on April 15, 2005, 05:37:19 AM Hi Jason.
Glad to hear of another Standard. They are my favourites. But, the chrome hedlight rims were not factory fitted. All Standards & Commercials were released with painted headlight & tail light surrounds. I would love to see some pics. Mine is a Black FB-215. Regards, Rob J Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: oldgmh on April 15, 2005, 06:26:09 AM Hey col60FB,
Great car, quite rare and lots of potential. I reckon you should take off those silly wheel trims to keep it looking authentic. By the way - they aren't worth anything so you may as well just post 'em to me. earlee Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: COL58FE on April 15, 2005, 09:39:48 AM G'day All,
Just about the head light rims they are all painted on standards etc. The original painted head light rims are in the boxes that the chrome ones came out of showm in the boot pic. The painted ones will be re-fitted once vehicle is painted. As for the wheel trims, since they are worthless I may as well keep them rather then trying to sell them for pittens ;D ;D ;D. As for blinkers I think they were fitted up by holden because the wiring looks all genuine, but where the blinker lights in the dash are you can see marks where the metal caps once covered the holes. Now as for my email address just click on my username and it will list my contact details there. Cheers Col60fb/ (Col58fe) ;). Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: gp on April 15, 2005, 07:28:08 PM This car also looks the same as Ken Ross'car, who is a member of the FB-EK Club. Ken attended the recent Jindabyne Nats in his car.
Cheers, Graham Title: Re: FB 215 UPDATE PIC'S Post by: HYSTERIA on April 15, 2005, 09:39:35 PM Thats interesting re the headlight rims, I guess someone must have swapped mine along the way. Thanks for the info Rob.
