Title: Rear Seat too bouncy
Post by: kma on April 10, 2005, 12:15:20 AM
Any tips on reducing the bocnce of the rear seat. It is a re-trimmed 1956 sedan seat. Does'nt bother me much but sure bugs my passengers.

The easiset thing to do would be to get down to your  local rubber suply shop (eg Clark Rubber) and get some foam cut to sit inside the framework of the seat.

Yeah yeah, it wouldn't do much bouncing if I was in the back. But there was a time...........no lets not go there.

we tried this today using 150mm thick high density foam on the base pushed back between the springs. for the back we used 100mm hdf that goes about 1/4 to a 1/3 up the back of the seat , acts like lumber  support
