Title: fe 4 speed Post by: Liam moloney on March 30, 2002, 12:39:27 PM I have an FE 186 trimatic and i took the old traumatic out and was thinking of puting in a 4 speed out of a VH comm. The selector was to far back for me to use the original bench seat., Is it easier to use a 4 speed from a earlier model with the selecters up the side?

I have a 202 and M20 4 speed in my FC. I retained the bench with no mods, by modifying the shifter, by moving it forward 2 inches. You need to make an adapter and shorten the linkages. I will post pics on Friday. Regards Alex |
