Title: Accelerator Pedal Set-up
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on March 18, 2005, 08:51:38 AM
Does anyone have a recommended accelerator set-up, I should be looking to do something shortly and was after ideas from proven set-ups.
I will be using a cable to a 4bbl Holley.

G`day Stinky , HJ/Z pedal and cable are a piece of cake to modify to fit virtually anything.
I tried to fit a "bolt in" jobbie from CRS to a HR once - ended up throwing it as far as I could and made one myself , much cheaper and easier.

I have seen a really tidy conversion using the pedal and assembly out of a EF/EL f*#d it has a shorter top arm (for the cable to atttach to and looks really neat

Stinky

Here is a shot of a pedal cable setup that I did many years ago.  It utilises a Holden Commodore V6 (eg VS/VT) pedal and bracket assembly.  I had to cut a fair amount of the bracket away and mount it upside down.  The pedal shaft had to be heated and hammered into shape and shortened a little.  You can then just use a Commodore cable and have the carbie end modified by a cable maker (usually costs about $6).  The pedal and bracket assembly from Holden was approximately $13.

Hope it helps - Chuck

Thanks everyone, Chuck I have seen the same setup before, I think it was on SGO's FC.
Looks like I have my pedal set-up!
