someone sent this pic to me today...
my guess is its not a stock grey motor.
looks like he carrys a spare motor in the back :o
anybody got any info on it?

Ahh that's were the Canadian big block grey ended up!!  Must be running twin carbies to get that sort of pickup....he he ;D

Strip Tripper was an FE Wheelstander from the early 70's that featured a rear mounted 'Cusso' V8.
Check out the colour shot from the cover of Aust Hot Rod, sept '71.

i guess he steers it with independant rear brakes.

I can see how the independent brakes would steer it a little... but have a look at his line of sight! It wouldnt matter if he was blindfolded - the vision is zero!

I think it would be pretty scary :o

Although not visible in the photo, I believe the car had a hole in the flor for vision.  Some captions I have on the car state that it could actually be driven round corners using the rear wheel brakes alone.
