Title: VHT CURING ???
Post by: Blown_FC on January 20, 2005, 04:05:36 AM
I'm coating my Exhaust headers in VHT Flameproof Flat White....it says it needs to be cured to help improved looks and solvent resistance.

Problem is, that the motor is out of the car, and not likely to be running smooth enough ( initially ) when put back in untill all the bugs are sorted out, like timing, carbs, ect...so I can;t really cure them on the car.

I really need access to an oven, but I don;t think my oven at home is big enough, let alone the Mrs letting me cook up some extractors for lunch.

How can I get to the 120, 200 and 325 degrees celcius needed to cure the extractors ?

What about a blow torch in even passes, or maybe under my BBQ hood ?

Any ideas ?
