Title: By-pass oil filter Post by: Martin on January 18, 2005, 01:19:40 PM When I refit my motor I'll be attaching a by-pass oil filter.
As I bought the filter without any plumbing, I've got little idea where it plumbs into. I though it would plumb into a tee-piece screwed into the oil pressure light switch hole near the dizzy, but a fellow told me today the take-off should be through the other hole just above the oil pressure switch. This is currently plugged with a largish grub screw. So, where is the take-off? And where should the return line go? Just behind the fuel pump is another grub screw, and below it a slightly larger hole blanked off with a small hex-head bolt. Which one of these is the "return" hole? Thanks for your help. I hadn't thought about the grub screw above it as an option. Maybe that would work too. The return goes into the lower of the two holes just behing the fuel pump- where the hex bolt is on yours I guess. Again I'm not sure what the grub screw above is for.
