Congrats to the whole Harko (ever expanding) family. now all we need is a name? Matt Title: Re: Another project start. Congratulations on the new addition, is he giving a high five in there? With the rapidly expanding team of lads, is this a cunning plan to keep labour costs down for all your future projects? ;D ;D ;D Chuck Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: graham_fuller on January 07, 2005, 10:37:19 PM Congrats to you both looks like a very long project.
Cheers, Graham Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: RET on January 07, 2005, 11:18:10 PM Good on you, Harko and Jayne. Does the little fella have a name?
You're right about it being a life-long project. They start a bit fumey, with a few leaks and they're not all that reliable (especially at night), but the potential is enormous. Of course, at some point in the not too distant future, your older one will decide to turn this one into a couch ;D And not long after that it will be the other way around... ;D Best wishes to all. RET & fam. Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: JB on January 08, 2005, 01:18:16 AM Hey Harko congratulations....
Give it a couple of weeks though and you will have LOWERED his ears, by CHOPPING the top, bet you already have a new set of RUBBER for him and definately not sure what TRIM to put on him each day. Add oil and some degrease regularly constant wipe downs and the trophies will come... Congrats again, Cheers Jason. Title: Re: Another project start. The seeds of my next project have just been sown, sorry for the awful puns, Expecting our second in August. Got to get a wagon before that or I'll never get one!!!! Cheers Dave Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: Blown_FC on January 08, 2005, 05:08:40 AM C'mon Dave....don't you know.......It's because you have a little one arriving in August, that you need a wagon !
Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: 57bus on January 08, 2005, 05:13:29 AM You are not going to believe this but thats how I am convincing the missus to let me get a wagon.
I used the same excuse to get the kombi, but after it taking 3 and a half years to do, she is a bit sussed this time, She's now giving me the "you can only have one toy" bull. I am seriously thinking of selling the kombi to get a wagon, but we are about to move house so I will wait a few months first, got to find a new house with a decent shed, cant believe we are selling as I had a 30 foot x 20 foot shed put up 1 month ago. Cheers Dave Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: Blown_FC on January 08, 2005, 05:33:36 AM Dave Dave Dave....alas my friend....we have lots to learn !
"Fair enough my love.....but I need a good FC Wagon to drive the 'growing' family around in , so as to avoid stacking on the k's on the Kombi, so I can get a better price when I sell the Kombi and therefore giving me just the one toy" Hows does that one sound Dave ? PS....once the deal is done, the Kombi may just take (forever) to sell....not your fault.......you are trying everything you can to sell it....but the market place just isn;t ready yet ! LOL Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: HARKO on January 08, 2005, 07:12:38 AM Awesome comments guys lol ,His name is Boden John Harkness AKA Bo ! ,His name takes in a few of the family members names so it was a pretty good decision .
Jayne/Mums doing well but she doesnt have much to complain about ,2 1/2 hour labour, 9 pound 4.5 ounces - we build em big lol ,The poor woman yesterday morning looked dead set like she was hiding a beach ball. Thanks again guys for all the warm comments its very much appreciated ,and oh yeah he was born with a silver spanner in his mouth so labour costs may well drop in the futre . Dave Ive been whacking on the plan of "assing my monaro down to him so we'd better keep it"and I found the best time to enforce it was when wifee was buckled over in agony handling a contraction hehe. Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: zulu on January 08, 2005, 09:01:57 AM Good news Harko, all the best to you & the Mrs.

Post by: HARKO on January 08, 2005, 02:56:57 PM WOW just wanna say ,This many hours after he is born its realy starting to sink in ! Ive got a little man joining the ranks ,I cant find an emoticon that reflects how I feel right now ...... Im goin from being amazed to totaly blessed - and I aint religious...
There aint nothin in the world that beats a new life thats a makeup of yourself.. And Im not going to mess around here ,As soon as he's aloud out of Hospital I'll get him to look at his reflection in fresh paint, His wind might help dry it ! He can help me use his nappys to polish stuff ,And his first words will be something to do with DAD and his cars.. Unlike my first saying "Dad" on fathers day for the first time and the second word being "Car" hehe ,I thought I got lucky but this little mans joining the bettalion of the other gender and not car or dad or even cool will be his first word . "It will be "Holden"" Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: slim on January 08, 2005, 11:02:29 PM CONGRADULATIONS MRS AND MR HARKO,,,,,,,,,, But Id make sure them nappies are not from the wrong pile if being used to polish with or you will get a SHITE job.... Post by: 57bus on January 09, 2005, 12:27:42 PM My daughters first words were kombi.
The missus was always saying " your dad is in the shed with his kombi" The kombi was supposed to be her uni money, shes 2, but now I want a wagon and with another due in 7 months, I am now telling the missus that the wagon will be the next kids uni money. I think it is working. Cheers Dave Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: Martin on January 09, 2005, 12:47:16 PM Conrats Harko & Mrs Harko. I hope he and his bro continue to make you as proud as you are right now.
Kiwi - pay attention. The grinding's already been completed!! ;) Dave, pretty soon she's going to wake up to the fact that you've SPENT the girl's uni money on the Kombi and now youi want to spend the lad's uni money on the wagon. ::) Sounds fair enough to me. Martin Title: Re: Another project start. Post by: 57bus on January 12, 2005, 07:16:18 AM If I can get away with it I will.
