Title: Massive Charity Cruise Sun 16 Jan
Post by: RET on January 05, 2005, 12:06:52 AM
I'm posting this from an email the NSW Club received.  Please contact the organiser Mitchell Mathieson (mitchell@issc.com.au) for more info.

This cruise is an attempt to 'rebirth' the car cruise scene, as it was discussed previously the cruise scene is dying out. We are reviving the tradition

This cruise is proudly sponsored by
- Rated R Designs
- Flyn Performance
- Core Games
- SRS Auto
- Brads Custom Trim
- Newcastle Pro Sound
- Mcgoo's Spitroast And Catering
- Jetspeed Newcastle
- Autotechnica

Details

16th Of January is the set date and we are heading to Speers Point (Lake Macquarie)

Sydney Meet Up
Please be at P6 Car park (in Homebush) at 10:00am for a 10:30am departure however we will be leaving at 11:00am sharp.

Newcastle Meet Up
Please be at the Wallsend Twin Servo's at 10:30am for 10:45am departure to cruise to the Twin Servos on the Central Coast and meet the Sydney group, then cruise to Speers Point Park with them.
Alternately Newcastle people can simply meet at Speers Point Park

There will be a BBQ/Sausage sizzle at the venue along with a raffle.

There will also most probably be some representatives from World Vision to collect donations for the Asian Tsunami relief appeal.

We are hoping to have at least 200 people attend. If there is more than 20 clubs attending one of the TV networks will be contacted for possible short coverage

Please note, this cruise will be run according with the NSW Road Rules, any form of public display of speed, agressive driving/behaviour and burnouts WILL be reported to the Police immeadiately.

I hope to see your club in attendance. Please RSVP me.

Mitchell

More info received today from the organiser, Mitchell:

It has been confirmed that the charity is the Alison Hunter Memorial Foundation: http://www.ahmf.org/

There will be a Tsunami relief cruise later in the month, or next month.

Thanks
