Title: Tassie plate seen in SA
Post by: Martin on December 23, 2004, 02:49:30 PM
I couldn't get a picture so you'll just have to take my word for it:

I saw this Tasmanian registered vehicle parked at Westfield Marion (Adelaide) yesterday:

FC-0158       :D

Wouldn't you like to get that on your early '58 Special.  Waddaya reckon, 4-hammers?

What a waste - it was on a an old Toyota 12-seater bus converted to a camper van.   >:(

Hi Martin.
Yep, that is the current series out right now. FC-####.
All the good "FC" plates are already gone (Like : FC 1958, 1959, 0058, 0059 etc), but there are a few choice ones left. There doesn't seem to be any of the FC 2106, FC 2104 etc floating about. Maybe I just haven't seen them.

Rob could always try the FC-5859 option?
I have bought matching plates for the two cars I have and spare for the next one I now have
550-OFJ
620-OEK
590-OFC
at least I can fiot two of the three sets so far!

Talking about plates (I know this is the wrong area - but it's Christmas, indulge me!)
I just got a call from the owner of Victorian number plate FC GMH who is looking to sell.

An offer about $500 would probably secure them

In SA our Alpha numeric plates started at "R" and so on. The Rego office have released the "R" and "S" plates that are not still in use. I have been collecting the plates for my sedans and wagons. eg.

RFC 225
RFC 229
RFE 225
RFE 229

Hey 4hammers, you could soon see some SA plates in Tassie as I am coming down there next week.

That's OK. I have called Graham and he is on holidays when we are there. By the way, you had better make those ginger beers.

Hi Guys
I have SA plates FC-0058. I can not see myself going back to Adelaide in the near future and have been thinking about offering them up to the club. But then again I still have them for another 3 years.

Plates are a lot cheaper in SA than QLD.
