I think what Ken is saying is to place several cuts across the channel in the spot where you want it to 'bend'. Then find something solid with a similar radius to help apply even pressure (might even be able to use the top edge of the door) and work it around this mandrel. As the channel 'bends', the cuts would open out slightly, allowing it to follow the curve. If you cut and did not use a mandrel, it would probably kink along the chrome edge. You would have to experiment with the amount of cuts and their depth for the best results. I think more cuts and less depth would give the smoothest result. Once bent and ready to fit do you refit the original clips to the channel, and if so are these just pushed on or are the little pointed tabs pushed through the rubber? backing and turned over to secure. Or is ther some modern method of fixing glue, silicone?
