Title: The train to Tassie Post by: customFC on December 18, 2004, 10:49:41 AM A fellow member of the NSW club - Ted Lowe, came across some original Holden photos whilst looking through an antique store. Ted does not visit the boards, but thanks must go to him for copying the pics to share them around. Here's the first, a train load of new FEs headed for Tasmania.

If I am not mistaken, that is in the Hobart railyards (they are gone now). That is one of a series taken by a fella called "Beattie". I sent a few shots to Ken McLean & there is one in that, which is the same train, taken from a different angle. As for the Tassie Weather joke..hahahahahahahahahahahahahah...I never get tired of them ::) ;) You may like to note, that it is actually SUPER, DUPER sunny & that is the brilliant Tassie sun that makes those cars gleam so well ;D Title: Re: The train to Tassie Post by: FC0058 on December 23, 2004, 10:34:07 AM Rob
Is it true that all FE & FC exported to Tasmania came standard with NASCO heaters and demisters already fitted. Hahahahahaha. How is the Cop car going you have been really quiet of late. Title: Re: The train to Tassie Post by: 4hammers on December 24, 2004, 10:51:39 AM Hi Jim.
Yes, I must confess, it is true! But you forgot to mention the NASCO mittens & beanie set, that were supplied in the glovebox of each car ;D Copcar has moved house to my place, but I am opening my own business & have been crazy busy. I am supplying a few stalls at a big music festival down here over the New Years & have been baking tonnes & tonnes of breads & pastries for them. Bloody hippies & the munchies they get! I will get there soon though! Rob J |
