it would be worth getting. these were a rare item in their day, let alone now. in answer to your other question, these heads were really intended for racing, but there are street driven engines around. John Keane had an FX in Brisbane in the early 80's which was street driven. i'll try to dig out a couple of pics of the engine bay. What they're worth and what they cost are two different things.. I know of one that sold about 3 years back, it went for 5K, plus it had to be rebuilt. Not worth it! You'll also need the special push rods, and the alloy side plate to replace the stock tin one, which wont fit the xflow. Depending on the inlet manifold you use, you may also need a dizzy with an angled drive to get clearence. I wouldn't spend too much on an incomplete setup, as you may never find the other bits, or it'll cost you a fortune to have them fabricated. Cheers Tony |
