Title: Cowl Vent
Post by: JB on February 15, 2002, 09:05:10 AM
After pulling apart the front of an old ute today I found a type of box fitting under the cowl vent.
The brand name on it was Cesco, manufactured by Cousens & Smith in Sydney.
Having not seen a heater set up in any vehicle yet, I was wonder whether or not this would be part of a heater, or used for something else. The ute did not look like any piping had been installed previously or heater ducts.
Regards
Jason.  ;D

Having spoken to a guy from Autobarn today he suggested that the box could have been used to catch water if the Cowl vent was open while driving when raining.
Anybody else got any ideas?
Thanks
Jason.  ;D

hey there Jason ,
that sounds like a good explanation
to me . i could have done with one myself .
the amount of times i`ve left that vent open and the
rains poured in on my air chief radio , i`m surprised
 it still works .  ;)
