Title: Tassie Taxis Post by: air-chief on February 08, 2002, 12:28:21 AM Here a picture that I came across that might interest some of you. I think its "City Cabs of Hobart" taken in 1960 just when their new FB's arrived.

Regards Alex Title: Re: Tassie Taxis Post by: Hewart on February 08, 2002, 09:47:34 AM I agree with Alex... I was going to say I loved the FE/FC production line pics you posted. I had only ever seen a few of them before..... where did you get 'em from...??
I have a couple of production line shots, mostly of other models (EJs mainly). I also have access to some other older photos from work, like the one attached here (hopefully) (http://www.geocities.com/hewart01/images/taxi.gif) and would love to see any more that people might have lying around. Can't get enough of the old pics.... and the new ones for that matter... it's great to see them on this site!! keep 'em coming..... I have more pics if you want 'em.... some better quality than others.... Cheers.. Les.... Title: Re: Tassie Taxis Post by: craiga on February 08, 2002, 10:16:54 AM Les,
The link was broken. :'( I'm pretty sure this is the photo you tried to post :D (http://www.geocities.com/ssehcc/images/fctaxi.gif) The more old photos the better. I would like to see some old family shots with FE's or FC's. If any body's got this stuff it would be fantastic if they can post it. Cheers, Craig. Title: Re: Tassie Taxis Post by: RET on February 08, 2002, 10:34:59 PM I'll update the PLEASE READ thread with this info as well. It seems that GeoCities deny links to images from external sites, which is presumably to stop bandwidth theft. This also explains why you can't download old copies of Sideplate direct from our old site there.
Note that you can drag the broken link icon to another explorer page and it will load there. cheers RET |
