Digger,  I have 2 speed wiper motors to suit FE to EK, they are based on a EK single speed wiper motor which has been stripped and rebuilt electrically.   Price is $65 plus freight.
email me at ken@vic.fefcholden.org.au

Digger, change over is not really neccessary. Usually the cost of resending the change over is more than what it is worth.
I will have these available at Ballarat swap.

I've used a VP Commodore motor with the  rotating arm off an early holden electric motor connecting to the stock wiper arms.It was an easy fit as I'm using the commodore loom but it cant be too hard to wire something up.Food for thought anyway.

PS. For the commodore motor the firewall needs a tap with a big hammer for clearance but this is all hidden by the motor when its in so still looks O.K.

Dont like the sound of "a tap with a BIG HAMMER',
But I will look at it and the wiering wont be a problem.
what switch did you use or have you commadore steering.

The instrament binicle is commodore with the switches included on the side, VP.
You can use a small hammer and more taps!

The Comm motor is wired differently to the EK motor.  If you are intending to use your original wiring (ie not shifting to a complete Comm loom) then wiring becomes more difficult since you will need to use a relay to turn the wipers on and off.
EK is wired by running power to the motor to the switch then to earth.  Comm is wired power to the switch to the motor then to earth.  Doesn't sound like a big deal, but it wont work just by reversing the wires.

Ken,

I had thuoght about the wiring yesterday, and as you have pointed out there is a bit of mucking around.
So I guess in the long run it will be easier for me to use your EK based two speed set up, seeing I already have a single speed wired and it wont take much to change. (plus at a glance it looks standard)

Thanks again,
Steve.

"And thanks for your help SGO."

G'Day SGO, I'm doing the same thing to my ek and I'm wondering if you mounted the VP motor to the original mounting plate? Or did you use something else?

I trimmed the commodore mounting plate and tacked it to the inside of the firewall, after marking and drilling the mounting holes, so the stock commodore bolts would all line up. The view of the engine bay of 59V6 in the photos section  shows how it sits from outside.
I must say that to get the wipers to sweep properly I got a lot of info from "digger" as I was not familiar with the normal FC electric set up!
Cheers, George.
