Going to paint with guards,doors etc off car then fit up. The bolts,various screws etc that hold the bits on, are painted once the parts are fixed in position or are they plain metal or plated? As the original front door rubbers had to be fitted before the guards, and the fact that you can't fit the grille while the guards are in place, I assume that the guards were originally painted off the car.
