i know this question is nor related to this forum but i am sure someone out there can help.
is there something(ie cleaner) that can be used to clean the aluminium dash plates(radio blank etc) on an fb (the one without the painted stars)to get rid of years of tarnish

david   try mag wheel cleaner or alli boat cleaner..use it carefully tho coz its a mild acid

Here's a few more less "acidic" things to try
1. Bicarb Soda and a little water to make a paste (works a treat on jewellery too)
2. Toothpaste, don't laugh it's a good mild polish.
3. Blue Magic, not sure if it is still available, but it was the ducks guts for polishing and cleaning stuff. I also use Meguiares mag polish, which as a bonus smells real good, just keep it away from the kiddies.

may be a way to keep the rug rats quiet on those sunday drives though ;D
