Title: Setting up twin Strombergs
Post by: Fast_Eddie on August 17, 2004, 10:38:24 AM
I am about to set up twin Strombergs on a grey motor.

What modifications are required (ie changes to jets etc) to the carburettors?

I was also wondering if anyone has some close-up photos they could post of the throttle connection between the two carbs? I would like to have the carbs linked by joining the shaft between the throttle butterflies, rather than the offset linkages that look like a mechano set.

Thanks

Edward

hi,speco make the shaft joiners (part number 221139)and are 5/16" w-clip&bolt, also redline have nice universal lever arm to suit 8mm(5/16" )shafts, part number 42-13.i got these from my local AUTOPRO store .hope this helps as they are the easiest to obtain and are the right size for holden shafts on single barrel strombergs.
cheers Nicko
ps. have a gap between the two rods of about 3mm so you can fiddle with them a bit if need be.
