Title: Gear change selector nylon bush.
Post by: Graeme McKie on August 12, 2004, 01:22:56 AM
Trying to locate the sliding nylon bush located at the gear change mechanism at the bottom of the steering column. It fits between the two operating levers. I have viewed a number of FC's and the bush was not fitted. They have a metal to metal operation. I checked with my local Rares's fellow and by his genuine spares book late model FC's had this bush fitted. He can supply bushes from left hand drive vehicles but they are two seperate halves and don't fit too successfully. The original part number is 7420296. The left hand drive number is 7414649. With the bush fitted it improves the feel of the gear change. Anybody help?
