hey ppl..my first post and i hope it's in the right place..i have a question..my grey block has the engine no. V570295P i cant seem to find what particular model it is from and as i am in the process of rebuilding i'd like to know what i am starting with..any ideas?..thanks!

Welcome to the site. :D

Brand new GMH block fitted in 1957 (most likely to an FX or an FJ) then stamped by the Victoria Police to give it a number. It is the 295th new block stamped in 1957

thanks.. :) it is indeedy from an FJ sedan which brings me to my next job and that is identifying the body..i'll search the net for that one  ;) an' whilst i don't have an FC or FE i do have an EK wagon and FJ sedan both of which i plan on restoring..again  :P  nice site btw..cya!

errr..just one more thing b4 i go.. ;D..this block i have..would i assume it could be a 132ci?..i will measure the bores but right now it is dark and i am a little curious.. :P tanx

If it is as Ken says, and of standard bore yes.
