Post by: Kermit on July 22, 2004, 11:46:13 PM
I am soon to fit twin Strombergs to my EK, can anyone tell me if i have to change jets or any other items or do i simply bolt the 2 carby's on and then tune it.
Any advice is much appreciated

Hi Mick,
If it's a stock grey motor then just chuck two stock carbies on and reduce the main jet sizes by one. The power jets can stay std. If it's a hottie, then you'll probably need to experiment with the mains and power jet sizes.
If it's a red motor, the best set-up is that for an X2 which is 2 x 149 carbies. I can get you the details if it is a red but even that depends on what size red.
Hope this helps a bit.
Leigh

it all depends as they might already be set up right ,i would pull them both down for a start and clean ,check float levels and pull jets out and look if they are matching numbers for a good starting point
