Title: Glue removal??? Post by: utey on July 08, 2004, 02:07:18 AM Whats the best/easiest way to remove 40 year old glue from door shuts?
Tried petrol, heat, scrape all work but a bit tedious. Any ideas or is it just hard work? Nick Title: Re: Glue removal??? Post by: earlyholdenfan on July 08, 2004, 02:11:34 AM Tried Acetone (nail polish remover) ???

I used a wire wheel on an electric drill. Worked a treat with minimum effort, but I was painting the car. Might not be suitable if you're just replacing rubbers. Cheers, Craig. The really old dry stubborn stuff I sprayed with WD40 & let sit for a day then cleaned it off with Prepsol.
