EH Column is a bolt-up fit I'm pretty sure. One of my earlier FCs had one. It might require EH pitman and idler, not sure about that. EK auto tunnel is the best and neatest if you want a whole new one, but they're getting awfully hard to come by these days. It's actually a lot easier to cut an H-shaped slit in your existing floor and create an enlarged tunnel than completely replace the floor and tunnel. Quite a few people have documented how they did this on the forum at various times. Either way will probably require custom floor covering (carpet). Hope that helps, RET Title: Re: EH COLUMN Post by: Fast_Eddie on June 25, 2004, 06:54:40 AM Castlemaine Rod shop sell a formed transmission hump that can be welded in. It is the same shape as an EK auto floor hump.
I assume that by using it, you could order floor coverings that suit an EK auto, which, in all other respects is the same floor pan as an FC. Title: Re: EH COLUMN Post by: RUBBLE on July 04, 2004, 12:54:24 AM THANKS FOR THE REPLYS GUYS. ;)

I have fitted an HR column to the FE with no probs, so far. I have not re-fitted the plates that go on the firewall though as they have been "mis-placed" somewhere between here and the powder-coaters. Anyway, the HR column only had two bolts (instead of three) to the sub-frame and I had to stretch one about 5mm. |
