Title: Norman Supercharger for sale.
Post by: 4hammers on June 24, 2004, 07:34:56 AM
OK Fellas.
It has got to go. I have 2 & this one is no longer required. I had wanted what I paid for it, but I am now just keen to get it gone & add the last few touches on the Copcar.
I will take $600 for this Norman. It is an Air-cooled 65 series. If you want it, be fast, as I am going to list it on Ebay. First in, first served. It is worth it!

Does it come with carb & mounting brackets & whatever else to fit.

Does it need repairs/overhauling?
Is it a goer?

Hi Seb.
Yes, it has a period fuel injection set up, with the correct trumpet. It also has the idler pulley & the blower pulley. You will need to fabricate a manifold, but they are basic. I can offer any help or loan parts from my water cooled Norman to copy.

Hi Seb.
It appears to be fine & the vanes are still in very good condition. Also, the bore is still very thick. It turns freely 7 there is no bearing wobble, so I assume it is fine. I have NOT had it on a car, as I got a water cooled not long after & that is a bigger supercharger, which had everything ready to go. So I used that instead. Just for your info, the water cooled cost me $2500. That is what a complete kit goes for.
Honestly, Mate. I cannot guarantee it 100%, as I haven't run it, but it looks fine, turns fine & appears to be perfect.

I have attached a photo.

Hey, that's weird. Any attachment that has "Injection" in the name is automatically deleted. Must be one of those BAD WRDS >:( >:(
Here is another.

OK. Now it is definately gone. We have a second buyer in line, so if the first falls through, I know the second won't.
Thanks,
Rob J ;D

FWIW the problem with the attachment was the "&" character, which is a no-no.

cheers
