Title: Cable Accelerator ??/ Post by: Blown_FC on June 16, 2004, 11:06:28 PM Can anyone advise me on the best CABLE accelerator to use in my FC ?
Rare Spares have them for about $140 and American Autos for $99, but was hoping I could go to the wreckers and pull one off a car. But not sure which pedal fits the best with least amount of dicking around.....and I would still like to be able to get a new pedal pad for it, so it would have to be recent enough to still order replacement pads for it. any ideas ? If you have a spare pedal assembly from an early commodore, I'd be very interested in one, as I have seen them on those cars we crushed at Moto-Madness, but couldn't for the life of me, work out how to get the buggers off ! They look like a good sized pedal. I don't need a cable, as I'm getting a custom cable made at Autocables to suit my engine bay and triples...(ie)...I'm getting a longer cable approx 1.7 metres, so I can clip it up out of the way making for a tidier engine bay ! Do those accelerators have replaceable pads, or are they hard plastic ? If they are hard plastic, can you please find me teh best on eyou have or are willing to sell, and let me know how much it's worth ! HQs have a rod and linkage set up. ??? They fit HQ thru to VY, Part Number is 02815916.
