Title: torana diff
Post by: nicko on June 02, 2004, 08:39:33 AM
HI can anyone tell me if an LH Torana diff is longer ,shorter or the same length as an FC diff?

Hey Nicko,
I don't know the exact diff length but I do have the wheel track measurements.  FC is 1410mm and LH is 1430mm.  I don't know what width wheels/ offsets the LH runs but you would think the diff lengths would be fairly close. Hope this helps a little but I'm sure everyone else will add some more exact info.

I think the LH diff is the same as FC, if you want a narrower diff then the LC or LJ diff is the one to get as this is about 2 inches shorter

I have just found a LH diff for my car (EK) can anyone tell me what is involved in putting it in, is it a simple bolt up using the torana plates and u bolts or do I need to weld mounts on or something?

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Burnsy,
You'll have to cut off all the Torana coil spring  mounts and weld mounting plates on to accept the EK leaf springs. ;)
Hope this Helps,
