Title: horn stuff

G'day all ,
                  Ken can you help me here please? here is a pic of my steering column , i have all the bits in the steering wheeel for the horn, but am i missing part number 3 and 3a(from the manual), the part with the wire ? and where does it connect to?

hi Rusty,
The part you refer to is the bakelite mounted Brass disc.This part screws to the front of the Black cover where the nut inserts are.

A speco three speed is the shifter, attached to either the original three speed gear box or if tunnel is modified a later model three speed box. Speco is a brand of shifter not a brand of gearbox.

No worries Rusty,
I'm no mechanic either, just a refrigerated sparky. There was another brand of shifter available in the dim past called an impalla,this was a sraight line shifter not a H pattern unit like yours,I also seen a single piece of metal rod used to change gears a s well, not fancy but it worked.
