Title: HR front end Post by: Paul on May 24, 2004, 07:49:22 AM When fitting a HR front end to an FC, which mounting rubbers do I use?
I have welded a FC outrigger, (I cheated and cut up my old FC front and spliced it into the HR so that I get a lower profile Front end, but looks stock.) and now need to mount it. Do I use lower HR mounts and FC upper mounts? Any thoughts on Neothaney stuff? It will have a 5litre in it so do you think that the rubber would be better for vibration? I've done the same conversion in my FC Sedan, and YES...you use HR lower mounts and FC upper mounts ! Personally, I went with Rubber...why ? ....well, I thought...rubber was a factory choice, and has lasted 40 odd years already, it gives a slightly more comfortable ride, so why spend heaps more on nolythane, when it does the same job and gives a harsher feel on the road ! Then again...if you are fitting a V8 and want that race car feel, then go the noylthane.......afterall, it is a better product......isn't it ?
