Lower carpark at Scarboro Beach 1964 with a sprinkling of Holdens
Note the two blokes carrying the longboard on the left near the FC ute
FX sedan,FB wagon,FE sedan, EJ wagon in the carpark

nice pic gary     must have been a hot summers day to bring them all out   looks like lots of ppl on beach
fx has extra mouldings on guards & circular flutes on side of bonnet

Yeah Gary, board is right, looks like it could hold up the roof of the surf club. By the way they are staggering seems like they have carried it all the way from Hawaii.
That is a pretty flash FX ay Trev.

Its very interesting the low number of Holdens in this shot. You would think that having at least 40% marketshare there would be a greater number in the carpark. Lots of Volkswagons!!

Also interesting is what looks like a Fiat third in on the left. At least one handkerchief wearing Italian was at the beach that day!

 Amazing how many 4 cylinder models that there are their for 1964 when the big 3 were very stong in the market place. I would have thought that the car of choice in a state such as WA would have needed a 6 cylinder??? That Fiat would have been a hefty purchase in 64 with the dollar etc maybe a Rich italian up from Fremantle for the day?
