Title: FE coming and going.
Post by: customFC on April 18, 2004, 11:30:48 AM
Now here's a pic that is sure to stir up some discussion.
Pic found in Custom Rodder, Oct 74. No details other than to mention it was used for "parades only"

I've always wanted to see an early holden with suicide doors.  Hell of a round a bout way of getting them though! ;)

I have seen a mini built like this years ago as a 'clown car' which used to drive from both ends and 'broke in half' at the end of the show.  Bit harder to do with a rear wheel drive though.

Not to shore about built on a Monday, and KIWI could confirm this but it looks to me like a NZ built model. ;D

How weird,

I have also seen a series 2 landrover done so that the drivers were actually hidden in below the seat level and it split in half on command.  There were two little jockey wheels in the centre so it didn't drag its bum after it split.  The idea was to convince the crowd that it was remote control and that the operator had lost control, pretty funny to see the looks on peoples faces when it broke in half and went 'out of control'
