Title: BRAKE HELP PLEASE ???????? :)
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on March 25, 2004, 11:23:31 AM
Stripping down the diff tonite, and I have a couple of questions.

1. Where can I get a new handbrake cable.

2. Will an LC/J slave cylinder fit the FC Diff, I have a couple somewhere, just want to know if they are worth looking for :)

Don't know exactly in SA, but there are any number of places in Sydney that make up handbrake and speedo cables on demand.  I had a speedo cable to suit my PowerGlide/FE combo made by a company in Arncliffe (can find the details if you need them), delivered the next day.  There's also a crowd called Auto-Cables that advertise in Restored Car that might be worth a try.

cheers

Hi Stinky,

Try this fella out, I have had him make up a speedo and hand brake cable for me and have been of good quality also got a rear after market venetian shade off him, he hand makes the cables at home and delivery is quick.

Also I dont think the LJ rear brake cylinder will fit the FE FC, different mounting holes.

Cheers,
Steve
