Title: Article 1330 Post by: Chuck on April 27, 2001, 12:00:00 PM Has any one out there able to estimate the date of an FC Sedan using the body number alone. My body number is FC225-16820-S. Im interested in knoing whether it is a 58 or 59. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Post by: Richard on April 30, 2001, 12:00:00 PM It's almost certainly 1958, given that it is only the 15,000th-odd FC Special Sedan manufactured in Sydney. However, the chassis number can help you here if you have it. If it say's 8-xxxxx-S, then it was made in 1958. If it says FC-xxxxx-S it was made in 1959. I'm not sure that this changed on 1/1/59, but it is still going to be pretty close.

The chassis number would be the clincher as Richard suggests.
