He must think it's already doubled in price ::)

The lettering is unmarked, what's left of it, anyway.  Where are the OIL, TEMP and GEN markings?

$180, tops I reckon, in that condition.

cheers

I agree its worth about $180 - It looks strangely exactly like a set that I sold into QLD about a year ago for about that much money.

Even has the photocopy of the fitting instructions that looks just like the one I supplied

Ken

Good luck to him.

Hi all.
I am not pointing the finger, or suggesting this bloke has done this, my views are entirely hypothetical.

There is a trick in the Ebay game, that some users with no morals will attempt, often with positive results. I do not know if there is a term for this action, but knowing Ebay, I am sure there is.

What happens, is the seller, realising his item may be overpriced, but has noticed the amount of hits (views) on his item, will bang a bid on. Obviously, it won't be him bidding, probably a mate, or an associate with another username. What then happens, is the people who were looking at the item, thinking it was way overpriced, suddenly think, hang on, if that fella is bidding, maybe it isn't too far off the mark. Or, realising it will not be listed again at a lower price, will have a think about it & bang a bid on. You will find, that the first bid is only ever for the exact price that it has been listed for. So whatever the next buyer puts on, he is stuck with it.
Sometimes I see it work, other times it doesn't. I usually watch these guys, who I note, or suspect doing it & more often than not, the item will reappear a month later, sometimes with exactly the same photo.

I myself, do not like that, as it is immoral & devious.
But again, I stress, I am not accusing this guy, just making an obsevation.
