Whoa.
Whats going on with this post. It's disappearing as fast as Kiwi when it's his turn to shout!!
I think you fellas frightened my little mate "Pigsy" off. You big bullies had better back off. He is new to all this "Computer Stuff", so give him a chance. >:(

OK, Pig. The Bullies are gone. Have another go!

Hey John.
Chill out, Mate. You're getting a bit crotchety of late. It was a joke. Do NOT tell me to pull my head in. I do not like that. >:(
He has been having computer problems & his posts (5 total) didn't seem to be showing up from where he was. I have been helping try & post some photos of his work. He gold plates things, ANYTHING & can do it on the car without removing it. Probably a real boon to some people on this site.
He is also the President of our TAS club & a good mate. Offend him, offend me.
Be Nice, have a laugh.
Rob J :o

Hey Rob,

Hot!

Does he offer this service to others or is it more of a hobby for him?

Hi Emu.
Yes, it is a small business for him. He was thinking of doing it for guys from the mainland that posted stuff down & he would plate it to your specs, then send it back.
I will get a few more shots of his work posted soon. It looks great on his car & even better in the flesh. I got some of my Holden Cufflinks & tiepins redone & they look incredible. You should see his little machine. It has a little pen like instrument & a clasp. He touches the clasp to the item & wipes this gel stuff on with the pen & that is where the gold comes from. He showed it to the local chrome plater & the guy would not believe he didn't have a big vat to dip it into. He was amazed when Graham showed him how he did it. Now that bloke gets Graham to do his gold & silver work!!

The other bonus with the way he does it, is it stays on the car if you want & he can plate a certain area, instead of the whole lot. Look at his scratch plates. They are gold plated around the outside, but the rough area in the middle is not plated. The contrast is fantastic.

I am sure he will be back & will post some more info.

Thanks,
Rob J

Hey Rob,
That looks fantastic what would a set of scratch plates cost done like this?
Cheers,
Graham ;)

Hi Graham.
Cost for a full set of plates is $200 plus postage. Sounds a bit pricey, but remeber it is pure gold & he lays it in thick, so it won't wear off.

If you like, email me & I can send some full size shots through for you to look at. He has done the speaker grille on his FC & it looks brilliant with the black highlights.

I am planning on getting some bits done on my FB Copcar. Picture that. Gloss Black, gold badging. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!

Anyway, he will post some more shots soon.
