Title: Re: FJ custom by Craig (FCUTE) Post by: fccool59 on January 15, 2004, 11:42:07 AM While the shot of the roof of looks like a fj joined to a taildragger, the other shot looks like a bit it has more cars haked up, is that a 40 ford ford roof with the edges ground round. After seeing some of these cars on this forum Im thinking of having a go.
I have been getting back into 1/64 scale slot cars of late and its pretty easy to cut these things and super glue them back together how you want, or when the kids squash one you just glue the roof on a bit lower. The cars available are simular styles to what hot wheels and johnny lightening offer, infact half of them are hot wheels and johhny lightening with some hot wheels cars beeing actual replicas of their die cast partners such as twinmill and 40 ford pickup. aliminium rims are available with silicone, rubber or foam tyres as well as quite a large range of plastic rims wich ofen have detail down to wheel nuts, prices range from $1 US a pair upto $16 US for a set of aliminium racing mags, cheaper sets of aluminium rim sets are available for drag racing wich dont have independant rotating front wheels and would probably look neat on a die cast car. there is also a large range of tyre sizes and even different colors and compounds, narrow and wide, some with good year lettering raised on the side wall I dont know yet how to post pics on this forum but if you want a idea of what some of these cars look like I can send some pics. Hope to see that FJ sled finished soon the rear seems to be getting a nice shape |
