Hey Chris
Last time I ran the car was bout 1986 , from 1991 to 1995 , it sat in a paddock on my cousins farm , then I drove it into the shed here ,   been there ever since , not started , covered in dust ,carpet , timber , boxes , and  mmmm    Shite .
   Nicko
Now I can get to it , hope to fix the chipped bog , clean the motor , good respray , ................  Hope the "carpark" at Jindabyne is nice and long  ;D :o

    Norm

Oh , haven't started it YET , moved it around by "Harko Power"

It took a lump of  4 X 2 ,   one 4 ft lenght of 1 3/4 pipe , one "Lee Enfield .303 "   and anything else I could find , to keep him away from the roof .......   can't lower it , my head nearly hits the top now   ,  ;D

    Kiwi ,    don't worry ,   he tried ......

And Guess What   Guyzzzzzzzzzz ...........

 We "STARTED IT TODAY"   ,    :) :D :o :) ;D :o 8) 8) 8)

Put in a battery ,   plugs out ,   turned key ,    mmm   turned over ,   ......   Plugs in ,   petrol down carbies , turned over ,  coughed ,  flames out exhaust , stop ....
New petrol (last lot 8 yrs old) , tried again ,  WOW ..... Off she went ,   Missing a little ,  water pump buggered ,  otherwise , had it running for  15 mins ..   (smoked the garage out)
Will post more pics later .

ANY IDEA's     ::)  (Harko has got it on Video , see what we can do for ya .)

Hey Slim
No fridge in the shed BUT "2" in the house ,  (too much junk in the shed ... :-/ )

Put new plugs and water pump in it today ,  running MUCH better .  Harko has pics of me doing "Laps of the Yard" he might be able to post soon ,  (but the carbies still need tuning , Craig     :P )

OK, it's a deal Norm. Now I know for sure you have a beer fridge I'm definately coming out to see you  ;D Not that I didn't trust you, I just had to send Harko out first to check you out  ;)

It's such great news that your car is going, and the fact that someone you met through this forum helped you do it is even better.

Roll on the next Nat's..............

Cheers,

Craig.

All the drinking was endured very precisely and effectively and the hard dusty work also done very willingly .
Im going to see if I can get a still pic of you Norm off the vid cam because I cant explain the look you had when it kicked over after so long ,Would be something like "Quietly ecstatic" or "This   is     cooool" or "Shit yeah !!!!"
Magic moment is right on the button Trev.
We threw some oil in the gearbox today and changed the plugs and a new water pump as Norm said ,And I got to watch the 17 year old cheshire cat do wheelies in the dust  ;D and I had a ball. :)
And the neighbours were there instantly with beer in hand smiling about their floorboards rattling - Cant beat country folk ,Hey Norm !

Good on you Norm for living & saving the dream, & to Harko for helping to keep the dream alive.
A great story & pics, all we need now are some sponsors so it can be signwritten, what about club sponsorship? & any members businesses.
It would be a great drawcard at any racing venue or motor show!

That is great stuff, good on both of you.  What a Chrissie present for Norm.  Harko, you're obviously one of Santa's little helpers, although pretty bloody tall for an elf!

Can't wait to see this thing get up and boogie.  Harko, if you've got some video of it and want help posting it, just let me know and we can work something out - I've got all the gear for that.

cheers
