Title: FC Pull To Handles Post by: FC0058 on December 02, 2003, 11:40:58 PM Hi Guys & Gals
I beleive these to be FC Pull To Handles. Question ? Are they Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: FC0058 on December 02, 2003, 11:49:36 PM and if I am right
What are these ones off. Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: FC0058 on December 02, 2003, 11:51:40 PM I have also seen nasco pull to handles very similar to the first pic with only one screw hole each end.
??? Cheers Jim Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: robbzfc58 on December 02, 2003, 11:53:56 PM i got a set like the 1st ones out of an ek
i assume they are correct. the ek was a taxi in its earlier life & i doubt that the next owner would have fitted them Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: RET on December 03, 2003, 12:53:36 AM The handles in the first photo look like the genuine accessory. I think the ones in the second photo belong on my mother in law's kitchen cupboards ;D
As an aside, a car that had these fitted as original factory equipment should have an RPO number of 292 on its body-plate. These are pretty rare. I've also just discovered that our NASCO Accessories ($2) area doesn't have any info on the pull-handles. I'll see what I can do about that... cheers RET Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: Graeme on December 03, 2003, 01:06:00 AM I have a set of 4 on the first photo on my wagon and they look like they have been there from new, will check the body number tonite and let you know.
Graeme Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: graham_fuller on December 03, 2003, 02:04:26 AM Yes the first ones are the originals for FE/FC but as Ret said the second look like kitchen cupboard handles. There was another type with grooves in them that matched the window winder and lock release handles.
Cheers, Graham Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: Effie C on December 03, 2003, 02:04:27 AM Quote Hi Guys & Gals I beleive these to be FC Pull To Handles. Question ? Thanks for that but were do you think I got my pic's from. I might ask the guy what the part number is for the kitchen cupboard ones. Cheers Jim Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: FC0058 on December 03, 2003, 03:02:14 AM Well
I just went and took this off my car. I guess you have answered my question and I did have my suspitions that it is only a kitchen draw handle or maybe an after market brand. # found on the underside is P.I.C No.A.002 Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: FC0058 on December 03, 2003, 03:04:07 AM I should name the photo's better
Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: FC0058 on December 03, 2003, 07:15:52 AM Graham
I have sent an email to the guy on ebay to see if he can provide me with a part number. If you have a close look at the second photo these handles have grooves just like the window winders. Now you really have me thinking and very intrigued. I will wait for a reply from this guy. Ken will read this thread soon and set us all straight. Cheers Jim Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: -KIWI- on December 03, 2003, 08:06:08 AM what are these ones then off then they look like they were fitted from new
Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: FC0058 on December 03, 2003, 08:30:23 AM Emailed the seller and asked for part #. Here is his response.
This product was manufactured by Lenlok and sold under the NASCO name through Holden Dealerships and there agents in New South Wales (Maybe other states?) NASCO had many suppliers and they also varied state to state. The syling matches that of the door handle and window winder, I can see no visable part number sorry. (other then a large 20) Kiwi Maybe yours are made and supplied in this way. I must say they look good. Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: ACE on December 03, 2003, 08:50:09 AM Jim,
The first pic you posted is the most common FE-FC pull to handle (Nasco). I have seen quite a few FE and FCs with the pull to handles in pic 2 and i believe these are Nasco as well. Kiwi your pic is of a FB-EK pull to handle. ACE 8) Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: mcl1959 on December 03, 2003, 11:18:56 AM 1st pic is FE/FC Nasco
2nd pic is FE/EK accessory sold through Motor Spares catalogue to match FE to EK handles (ie not Nasco). 3rd pic is FB/EK Nasco as Ace has said. Many FE's & FC's had the 2nd pic handles fitted from fairly new because like a lot of products from Motor Spares, they were cheaper then Nasco and these handles actually look a lot better than the Nasco ones. Thanks for the information it has cleared a few questions and given a lot of ppl answers. Thanks Jim Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: Effie C on December 03, 2003, 09:22:56 PM Quote John Thanks for that but were do you think I got my pic's from. I think this person maybe Rare spares at the Valley.I have bought NOS panels fromhim before. John M Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: FC0058 on December 04, 2003, 12:16:04 AM John You could be right.
The first pic was one I already had on my computer. I am off to the Valey sometime soon as I have to get a few bits and pieces for the front end of my car. The old girl is off to the panel shop on Monday. I am finally having the subframe fixed. Cheers Jim Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: fe2ek on December 06, 2003, 06:55:18 AM I have a set of the handles in the second photo in one of my EKs and a set set of the type in the first photo in my other EK.
Which ones are woth more? Regards Geoff Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: Hewart on December 06, 2003, 07:36:21 AM G'day guys...
Here is a pic of the one with matching grooves on it.... that's the type I've got... Cheers Les... Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: mcl1959 on December 06, 2003, 10:21:13 AM Les your's are the only set I have ever seen of that type of handle - I would say a Sydney co made them and sold them through the NSW area only.
Regards value. Probably the Nasco handles still retain the highest value simply because of the magic "N" word. Ken Title: Re: FC Pull To Handles Post by: Hewart on December 09, 2003, 03:41:10 AM G'day Ken...
That surprised me a little bit as they seem to match in so well.... but I definately take your word for it....!!! Also surprised that's the first set you've seen....! I must admit, I've never actually taken them off before, so I never knew whether they were or weren't NASCO... never really crossed my mind.... Thanks for that...!! Cheers Les.... |
