Norm,you really have a collection there !!
I wonder where he is now ?? Maybe I could sell him the car ;) ;)

All these pics of the old cars are really bringing back some memories,, The one of the "Shark", I nearly put flames on mine because of that car.. Had mate back then with an FJ Ute with a 327 and flip front, that was black and had the same flames..

Due to this forum,I contacted Rick Martin the other day via e-mail ,and sent him the link to the "3 FC's" he said he will scan some pics of his car under construction with the Jag rear and chassis job...

Cheers Guys

Alan.

Alan
Only to pleased to share the Info , it's good to hear it's getting a couple of guys back together , and "bringing back memories" . It will be great to see Rick's pic's , also might encourage him to "get back into the scene"  ;)

Hi Guys,
I know it's been a while since Alan contacted me, but the sad thing is the old "instamatic" shots of my car have turned ugly and won't scan. I still sometimes think of what it could have been, but the magnatude of engineering problems that I went thru were just too much to handle in a garage in Preston!! What happened to the car after I parted it out I can't say.
The Jag rear went into an FJ, the body built out of NOS panels (including roof asm) went out eastern suburbs 20 years ago, never saw it again.
As for me, after I sold my 57 coupe, work, family, houses and work....you know how it goes. Still working for Holden Design, 27 years since I drove 'Bad Luck' to Fisherman's Bend for an interview. (driving an early with triple webers on avgas thru Melbourne CBD is still a fond memory!!!)
As for 'getting back on the scene', I still have a hot rod ski boat, just finished a Rodeo with billet wheels, on its guts etc as a tow car plus my kids are playing with cars now so who knows?

Rick

Hey Rick.
Nice to hear from you.
Thanks for the update on your car and the pics. Would have been a cool FC with that Jag rear.
Regards
Alex

Hey Norm... what can I say.... I could say sorry, but I'm not :P
I've been on thses boards for years and don't remember either of those posts! It was only because I was looking at this particular magazine the other day looking at some pics of the "Shark" FC, and read this yarn again.... so it was kinda fresh in my mind when I saw Darcy's pics....!
The mag is so old it only cost $1.75...!! Nothing like the $8 these days!

Thanks heaps for the pics and posts Alex and Norm BTW....

Cheers
Les...
