Title: Fitting a New Roof Lining Post by: oldgrey58 on September 24, 2024, 03:48:02 PM Hi all,
I am in the process of fitting a new roof lining. So far I have the lining fitted with the bows in place and clipped around the front and rear windscreens. The fit from front to rear is satisfactory but I can see that in the area near the top of the doors, particularly the rear doors, even when it is pulled tight to the alligator teeth, there will be loose-ish material between the bows. Would careful application of heat cause the vinyl to shrink a bit and tighten up? Any help is welcome, thanks in advance. The way to do it is heat then stretch the material into place sort of ironing the wrinkles out with more heat/steam, then when it cools it pulls a little tighter.
