Title: Dip Stick question. not a self analysis.
Post by: old-blu on January 22, 2024, 02:48:34 PM
A question for someone much smarter than me.     Can the dip -stick tube in an ecotec v6 commodore [VS]. be removed without damage?  Early ford tubes can be unscrewed because they are threaded. Maybe the VS tubes are an interference fit.... or maybe they are threaded also. Last thing I want to do is break it off @ the block!   Why would you want to remove a dip-stick tube, well , that's a story for another time.
As an aside.. I heard today that Tony & Mark are "pulling the Museum plug" ... Maybe an urban myth?   Kevin.

The Ecotec V6 is certainly an interference fit, they usually come out with little fuss.

Kevin,  tony & mark are definitely pulling the pin, if not sold, all memorabilia will be auctioned off in April.  AL.

I did not see that coming! Although I did not get to the Museum, I only heard very positive comments from those who had.  I wish them all the best for the Auction. Kevin.

Well, it's not too late. They will be open until April 14, with the auction to be held in mid May. You've got nearly three months to give yourselves a treat and get down there. :)

It is on my updated "Bucket List".  Having now watched the videos, I can understand the nostalgia as you trip down "memory Lane". Kevin.
