Title: Re: rotor button Post by: my8thholden on October 05, 2022, 10:17:47 AM Awh !!!!! come on fellas , someone out there must have a spare rotor button , I built a display engine for the museum at fagan park , and unbeknowns to me the lifting sling dislodged the dissy cap , so when we hit the starter it sheared the little drive lug off up inside the button ..just a good workable second hand will do , i'll pay for it and post if not near Dural area ...Vern ..
Title: Re: rotor button Post by: Errol62 on October 05, 2022, 10:27:16 PM Sorry I don’t have one Vern. I did a similar thing with slinging my 179 out of the ute, snd broke the almost new rotor. I had recently paid $50 for it and told they would soon be obsolete. This was a VC VH electronic dissy.

I have drilled a hole in line with the broken lug and put a short fat screw in there , it is a bit loose in the slot in the dissy shaft but engine runs well enough for display , we feel we can improve on that even more ..so ill be asking for all the old busted buttons soon ...keep well Vern .
