Title: Grey motor crash box fork issues Post by: Wookie 66 on January 29, 2021, 07:09:25 AM Good morning all
I have an issue with the fork in the crash box that being what holds it in place it fits nice in place but falls out I’m obviously missing something. Is there a pin or clip on the inside ? Do you have this part?

Yes fork clips to clutch pivot ball, which wants a dab of never seize on assembly. Also on the slave cylinder rod to fork contact. There is also a coil spring which holds the fork against the slave rod, between the end of the fork and either the slave cylinder or corner of engine mount. Helps stop fork pressing on thrust bearing when no pedal depression.

I also agree, a workshop manual is a MUST when working on these old cars for the first time. Lubrication points all over the place when new clutch is installed and fork has been cleaned. I have one available if you wish to purchase.
