Title: sun visor brackets
Post by: my8thholden on August 07, 2020, 08:18:54 AM
I am looking for a pair or if none around images if someone has one on a car and we will make them ..The brackets with my visor I have come to the conclusion they are not the correct ones , my visor is NOT the 2 piece Nasco style ..It is one piece and looks same as image posted in parts wanted by EK ute back in 2014 ..I saw a similar one to mine on a EH ,possibly later version ,it had a plate on it " HY-WAY SUNVISORS " Adderly Rd . Lidcome ...any info would be appreciated on any one piece visors that you know of ..THX

Hiway sun visors are at Chipping Norton now, I bought my door weather shields from them. May be worth a call?

Jim ..I rang HY-WAY Truck Spares at Chipping Norton ..They don't have " Car " visors , they suggested try HI or HY - Way ( seems to be spelt two ways ) at Lidcome ..my previous post tells that result ..any way any members got any clues ? ..Vern

I bought one of the retro spares one from eltham (autocables), for an FB EK application, but haven’t fitted yet. They are not a replica, and have no centre roof bracket, but they appear to work well.

G'day Jim,

I'm trying to hunt down a pair of weathershields for Dad's EH Prem, but no luck so far.

Did you buy the weathershields from the sunvisor mob at Lidcombe, or the truck spares mob at Chipping Norton?

I gave the sunvisor mob at Lidcombe a call, but they don't do weathershields.

The last place I bought weathershields (for my EK wagon) was at Phil's Rotary's in Brendale, Queensland. That was more than 10 years ago. I gave them a call a while back, and they said that "the two old blokes out the back of the workshop" gave up the game a few years back, and no-one else was interested in giving it a go.

Cheers,
Harv

Thanks gents.

Spoke to Hy-Way Truck Spares out at Chipping Norton. Their supplier had tripled the price, and they found they were no longer competitive. They have stopped supplying weathershields, and have disposed of all their old stock.

I opened Corsair Vehicle Solutions website, and figured I had the wrong place... lots of modern stuff. Lo and behold, they do EH Holden weathershields! Looks like they do everything from EH to UC. The old man was rather happy.

Cheers, and thanks again,
Harv
