The camshaft welch plug is shorter than a regular one. Last time I rebuilt a grey motor the engine shop machined a welch plug down to suit. If you can get access to a lathe, it shouldn't be too hard. (Or a belt linisher?) Measure the bore diameter to the nearest 1/32" to give the size of the plug you need. The welsh plug kit I got I used the bigger ones that fitted the correct holes The rest are to small From what your saying I’ll have source anther larger one and linish it to fit or get one made Cheers Title: Re: Rear Camshaft seal in block Post by: Rabbitoh on August 03, 2020, 02:48:06 PM 1 3/8" is the camshaft plug diameter. Depth is as per the rest of the welch plugs.
